All King Solomon’s goblets were gold, and all the household articles in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Nothing was made of silver because silver was considered of little value in Solomon’s days. (1 Kings 10:21—NIV)
With the crown came responsibility weighing heavily on young King Solomon . Then in a dream God appeared. “Ask for whatever you want Me to give you.” Solomon asked for wisdom. His request pleased God and he blessed King Solomon with wisdom as well as great riches such as pure golden goblets. (1Kings 3:1-15)
In James 1:5-7, God promises wisdom to anyone who asks. He doesn’t scold or belittle. Nor do you have to be important before He gives His wisdom. He simply gives it. The same God who spoke the world into existence wants to make you wise.
